GENERAL INFORMATION
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Condat-sur-Vienne is a small residential town in the outskirts of Limoges. You will find essential shops such as supermarket, pharmacy, bank, post office or tobacconist and a farmers' market on Saturday morning.
The city is happy to welcome the Limouzi Tango Festival and let the motorhomes park near the festival grounds. Please respect the local residents as much as possible and avoid noise disturbances
when returning from milongas at night.
The event room will be closed during the Limousin buffet, during the demosnstrations but also from 7.30 to 10 pm every day. This time is planned for the instalation of milongas, the cleaning of the rooms and for the volunteers to rest a little bit. It is therefore useless to come before 10 pm because the place will be closed.

IN HAUTE-VIENNE
LIMOGES, capital of Limousin, famous for its renowned porcelain, has a lot to offer. The St Etienne cathedral and its cobblestone streets, The Evêché gardens and the Museum of Fine Arts, the Rue de la Boucherie, the Temple courtyard, the National Porcelain Museum the Adrien Dubouché Museum, Cité de la Céramique or even the Museum of the French Resistanc. Limoges offers lovely walks on the Vienne river borders, lots of friendly tipical restaurants, a pedestrian city center and a numerusous culutal activities.
CHÂLUS, located in the south-west of Limoges, Châlus is famous for its medieval castle and for being the town where Richard the Lion Heart, King of England, was fatally wounded in 1199.
ORADOUR-SUR-GLANE, the Memorial Centre and the martyred town of Oradour-sur-Glaneare a symbolic place of remembrance of the Second World War French Resistance. The village was burnt down on June 10 1944 by a German Waffen-SS company and all its inhabitants were massacred.
IN CORRÈZE
COLLONGES-LA-ROUGE, dubbed 'The village with twenty-five towers', is a red sandstone fortified village which was historically the first one to be awarded the title of 'Most beautiful village in France'.
SÉDIÈRES, the 15th century medieval castle of Sédières, has been entirely restored.
Nestling in an idyllic green setting it is surrounded by lakes.
GIMEL-LES-CASCADES, situated northwest of Tulle, the village of Gimel-les-Cascades one of the "Most beautiful villages in France", is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Limousin.
IN CREUSE
AUBUSSON, famous for its tapestries, Aubusson is the home of the famous "Cité Internationale de la Tapisserie".
SÉDELLE, the Sédelle Arboretum is a six hectare site along the Sédelle river that was turned into an arboretum boasting an extraordinary collection of maple trees, dogwood and lime trees.
LES LOUPS DE CHABIRÈRES, Loups de Chabrières animal park in the Monts de Guéret enables the visitors to watch the grey wolves originating from Europe and the black and white wolves imported from Canada in near wildlife living conditions, thanks to very large enclosures.
OVER THE 3 DEPARTEMENTS
LAC DE VASSIVIÈRE, covering an area of 1000 hectares and spreading over the 3 departments, the Vassivière Lake is the largest reservoir in France.
